Christmas Pudding

Cleaning up this morning after our Boxing day family party, I unearthed the remains of the Christmas cake – and ate it. What with that moment of weakness and the assault I made on last night’s lemon mousse, I feel a new fitness regime is in order even before the New Year bites.

  1. Is it a question of discovering a new inner you? Someone who rabbits on incessantly when cake appears on the horizon "Pssst! Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Or even "nothing tastes as good as being ten pounds lighter would feel." If you put it to those fiendishly clever Chinese designers perhaps they could come up with an electronic box of tricks that would rehearse this message whenever you opened the fridge. Meanwhile the fridge light could show us an illuminated picture of Kate Moss - or maybe for those of us whose years are 'advanced' - a picture of Catherine Deneuve.

  2. Fennie, I don't think even the lovely CD will help, unless she screams - 'Zut alors, woman, put it down..'

  3. If you find any sort of useful contrivance, please forward, COD, as soon as possible! I need help after a Christmas awash in chocolate, cookies and wonderful breads (my particular downfall).
